The Lady`s Tower

On a cold but very clear day I took this picture, after almost not finding the place.Funny thing switching off the sat nav helped me more.

This was a summer house and changing room for Lady Janet Anstruther of Elie House, built in 18th century in the village called Elie, located on the east coast of Fife,Scotland.

When she went bathing-naked, apparently she would change and a bellman would walk around the streets warning local people to stay away. She must have been a very strong person, dealing with cold North Sea water.I wonder what happened to all those people who were coming down to the beach at that time.No wonder that Lady Janet and her husband were unpopular among the local people.

There is an interesting story about a fortune-teller who put a curse on Lady Janet that no more tan six generations of her family would live in Elie House.

The prediction became true.
